Data Privacy Statement
At their meeting on Monday 9 April 2018, the Trustees adopted the following statement.
The Lyttelton Well takes data security very seriously. It holds the names, addresses, email addresses and phone numbers of supporters, volunteers and staff. Relevant health information is also held for those working at The Well, so that no one is asked to perform inappropriate tasks. It also means appropriate action can be taken in the case of an emergency. For the same reason, contact details are held for a named person, often the next of kin. These details are not used for any other purpose.
Data is also held for those supporters who have made a financial contribution, in line with HMRC requirements.
Church affiliation is also held where the data subject has given consent. This information is only used in relation to the objectives of the charity, including sending out newsletters and other information. It is not shared with any other party. Communications are distributed on the basis that The Lyttelton Well has a legitimate interest in keeping data subjects informed.
Data is held securely on a password protected computer system or in a locked filing cabinet. Individuals may ask to be taken off the system at any time by contacting a manager at The Lyttelton Well.
