The Lyttelton Well was opened in April 1993 with the vision of providing a Christian Centre in the heart of Great Malvern serving the people of the town and beyond. That vision remains the same today.

Statement of Faith: “We take as Christians all who confess the Lord Jesus Christ as God and Saviour according to the Scriptures and therefore seek to fulfil together their common calling to the glory of One God, Father, Son and Holy Spirit.”

The Well supports and is supported by all the churches in Malvern and is actively involved in Churches Together in Malvern, providing them with a central meeting place.

The Lyttelton Well was founded on prayer: today, prayer is still at the heart of everything that we do. We have a dedicated Prayer Room used by numerous Christian groups and where we hold a weekly prayer meeting for staff and volunteers. Every morning, before we open the Café, we have a short period of prayer and quiet reflection.

The Lyttelton Rooms provide a venue for a variety of community related activities. An important part of our work focuses on our Counselling Service that is supported by the many different facets of our organisation.

Our Vision for the future lies in our Christian Faith. Our Faith is in a God of love and compassion, a God who values every person, a God who loved us so much that He came among us in human form. So Jesus inspires us by His Life, brings us forgiveness by His death, and offers us the possibility of new life by His resurrection. He offers us a fresh start, new opportunities. He gives us strength to live by His Spirit within us. He satisfies the deepest spiritual thirst of all who come to Him.

May many find that “Water of Life” through the Lyttelton Well.
